Welcome aboard to printmaker Bronte Adam, a brand new Wernog Wood tutor and an exhibitor in our Wernog Wood Collective exhibition on 3-5 September. @bronteadamdesign
Bronte will be teaching a ‘Botanical Lino relief printmaking’ course here in Wernog Wood on 29-31 October. Check out https://www.wernogwood.co.uk/lino-printing
Bronte Adam is a printmaker who specialises in relief printing, her preferred method being lino and woodblock. Bronte particularly enjoys the challenge of carving intricate details into her print blocks which she combines with multi coloured separation, giving her clean and vibrant prints. Her prints bring to life galah cockatoos perched in eucalyptus trees or plump ripe grapefruits nestled among leaves
Bronte studied printed textiles and surface pattern design at Leeds Arts University. She has worked both as a freelance artist and as a commercial artist designing prints for homeware and children’s clothing. She has recently finished a major print commission redesigning the packaging for a uk soft drinks company which will be launched in early 2022.
Bronte takes inspiration from textile designers such as Josef Frank or the patterns and compositions found in Iznik pottery from the Middle East.
