Margaret uses natural threads and organic fibres in a stylised, almost uniform way, She works in muted tones of creams, greys and whites to reflect the rural nature of North Wales. Her work has been described as having 'a Japanese-like simplicity, both serene and natural in its presentation'. Her work is punctuated with simply framed clusters of threads, or rhythms of feathers threaded through musical staves.
